The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly a result SRD of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The services level designed for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to here permit the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
